Day 104 Kuma’s FIP Journey

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

0600 no Keppra.

No evidence of seizures or ataxia

Up early for meds for me, then back to rest.

Up to mess with the turkey around 0700.

Very clean turkey, not much prep.

Brunch with the North bunch at 1130, so turkey needs to be done by 1045.

We decided not to put the bird in the oven until we got back from YC

North brunch really fun , I wasn’t very hungry, though, TBH, the food wasn’t that good, so not much missed there.

Home!!

Kuma was sleeping then up and about being a douche as usual LOL

We put the bird in, browned the skin, then turned down the heat, tented the bird, and rested up a bit.

Isao still had mac n’ chz to make so he did that, I rested with Kuma on the couch.

Erin (a friend’s daughter at UCSD) was coming tonight, we Uber’d her down to us.

Setting up tables around 1630, chillin’ with everyone outside 

Birds were coming out of ovens, side dishes were being prepped all over the quad, so many good friends and good smells, it was really special 

Dinner was amazing, the birds were so tasty, everyone’s side dishes were amazing, it was a really nice Thanksgiving 

Kuma slept in the office in his little tent, so cute 😉

I locked the other babies up on the bedroom and Cici was chillin’ in the wall box, so she wasn’t in the way or bothered by all the peeps.

1900 Neurontin 0.1mL

Eventually, everyone was getting leftovers, prepping plates to take, and saying their goodbyes.

Matt, Alec, Danny, me, and Isao were the last bodies standing, tearing down the tables and chairs and packing everything away 

When everyone had left, Isao was already prepping the carcass for soup 

I came in, and we had to get Kuma his Capella, so off we go to the office.

Capella administration:

W:  6.48lbs, Kuma had 4 massive poops in the last 2 days, so I knew he wouldn’t keep that weight up

T:  none

D:  1.9mL

Position 6 R rear flank

Pre-injection skin prep:  same

Tent:  good, nice, and deep

Needle insertion:  erratic, Kuma yowled when I first put in the needle, so I reset, and re-poked, much better this time.

Med administration:  smooth, no yowling

Needle withdrawal:  good, a small leak

Tent bouncing, post-injection skin prep, and Churu simultaneously

Off to play!!!

I will keep an eye on the injection site for a bit

After 15m, there was a tiny leak, so I cleaned him again, and then it stopped completely.

Dishes are mostly washed (except for the last 2), I have amazing leftovers for lunch tomorrow and my back is absolutely screaming, along with my head from all the coughing.

I will put Kuma to bed, then I will crawl into mine.

A GREAT day 
