Day 105 Kuma’s FIP Journey

No Keppra, weaning ongoing

Today is my first day back to work and I feel like death, but at least it’s live death instead of dead death LOL

Kuma was active but subdued

Packed my lunch, off to work!!

As soon as I got to work, I checked my temp, running a mild fever…..uh oh

Work was super easy, but this sinus thing has taken a bad turn.

Around 1130 I checked my temp again and it was up again, so I spoke with one of my fav docs and he ordered me antibiotics…..dammit, there go my gut bugs!!!

I was working with 2 Point Loma RNs and it was fun to spend time with new peeps.

Work wasn’t going to give me time off to take Kuma and Sasha to the vet, so I was scrambling with the vet and Isao to get them in today.

After some drama, we got the babies into the vet (thx for rearranging your day Isao)

Capella extension labs for Kuma, health check for Sasha’s sneezing issues.

Kuma’s check went well, he will have some ongoing joint issues, but Dr. Lair was very happy with Kuma’s progress.

Sasha got Xrays and a shot of antibiotics, feel better baby girl 

I finished my work by 1200 and the rest of the day was chillin’ and chatting.

Home!

Home to good kimchi mushroom/pork dinner 

Kuma was very tired as was Sasha, so it was a quiet nite of YT.

1900 Neurontin

2000 feed da bebbies!!

2100 Capella administration

W:  6.42lbs

T:  none

D:  1.9mL

Position 1 L front flank.

This spot has been a problem for us, but I think we figured it out tonight!!

Pre-injection skin prep:  same

Tent:  difficult until we figured out keeping Kuma standing on this side (right) allows for better tenting and takes away some of his ability to throw his shoulder and hip into the pocket.

Needle insertion: smooth, nice deep pocket right to the southern border of his shaved runway

Med administration:  good, small complaint at end of injection

Needle withdrawal:  excellent, no leaks, no bleeding

Post-injection skin prep:  soapy towel, freshwater rinse x 3

Tent bouncing and CHURU!!!

No leaks at all

I played D2R until 0030, and had to finish the insect pit, my GOD how I hate that dungeon, so I pushed through and finished it on Hell level, took forever.

Kuma to bed, me to bed, a great day
