Day 21 Kuma’s FIP Journey
After some drinki-poos at DF last night, slept in
Hubs gave Kuma Keppra 0600.
I played with him until I left for work at 0815, he was nuclear the entire time!
Isao got home at 1200, and found Kuma waiting.
1400 Keppra
1 big poop today, many pees in boxes.
Good food intake, preferring the dry, will eat wet as well.
I came home to nuclear Kuma 1900.
1900 Neurontin given.
2100 Capella administration
Weight 4.2lbs!!! weight gain! Will have to increase dosing to 1.3mL if he’s at 4.2lbs tomorrow.
Temp: 101.1F
Position 6, the worst, R rear flank.
Pre-injection skin prep: same
Tent: hard to gather, we’re right in front of the hip joint, so having to go in front of that.
Isao’s hand positioning has to be very precise or he’ll put the tent flat.
We got a good tent after 3 tries.
Injection: smooth, good, but some yowling and complaining.
Wasn’t sure we had a leak, so cleaned the skin multiple times, a soapy towel, a fresh water towel, rub dry x 2x
Some blood at the injection site, but NO leakage (no greasy look).
Will look again before bed.
Held tent and shook skin
CHURU!!!!
Skin surveillance: NO evidence of leak 10m after injection.
2200 Keppra
A good day.
Carl will let me borrow the cold laser over the holiday weekend.
We will use more programs since we will have the charger stand.
Programs/frequencies for bone/tendon/muscle over his R/L hip/spine to help strengthen.
CNS/PNS for the brain
Inflammation/infection for FIP control
We have a f/u appointment with Dr. Lair on 9/12 at 0800 for our 30-day lab check!!!! Full chem panel, CBC.
So far all is good with the injections, no s/sx of rejection or resistance, growth is crazy fast, he’s getting bigger and bigger now.
Happy
