Day 26, Kuma’s FIP Journey
I left the house very early to surf, Isao and Kuma were still being lazy in bed LOL
0600 Keppra
I came home to a nuclear Kuma…..again….or is it still?
Before I had to return the laser, I gave Kuma 5m inflammation and 5m infection protocols.
Skin surveillance: no s/sx of sores
Kuma had more big poops, good pees, and fresh litter boxes.
Isao had to wake Kuma to give him his 1400 Keppra dose, Kuma got pissy and left the office to sleep in the living room LOL
I came home at 1800, Kuma running around.
1900. Neurontin.
2100 Capella administration
W: 4.16lbs, same, no dosing changes
T: none
Location: Position 5, L mid flank
Dosage: 1.3mL, I will ask about the next dosing change.
Pre-injection skin prep: same
Tent: Excellent, good, deep, tall
Injection: Smooth, bevel down, Kuma did not cry until 5s after the injection was complete
Needle withdrawal: clean, no leaks
Bounced the tent for 30s
Post-injection skin prep: soapy towel, fresh water rinse, brush dry, NO LEAKAGE
CHURU!!!!!!
10m post-injection, no leaks
Kuma getting fresh dry food, snubbing wet unless it’s fresh from the can, little brat LOL
He’s really fleshing out as a cat now. His body is getting longer, he’s getting stronger.
His back legs still seem weak, they will splay out at weird angles if he forgets what he’s doing.
I will try to do more laser sessions on CNS/PNS/Brain/Bone/Muscle/Tendon/Cartilage when we get the laser this weekend.
Overall, and I don’t want to jinx it, Kuma is doing well on this experimental drug.
Day 30 is coming up and labs and f/u with Dr. Lair.
Based on those results, we’ll see where we are in the treatment regimen.
A good day
