Day 32 Kuma’s FIP Journey

Posted on September 12, 2022September 12, 2022

Day 32, Kuma’s FIP Journey

I went surfing, my GOD the water is warm and clear, the sunrise was amazing.

0600 Keppra

0725, I got home, quick shower, pack lunch, grab the laser, take Kuma to his Vet apt with Isao.

0800 Vet appointment!!

Dr. Lair is very pleased with Kuma’s weight gain, his appearance, his “guts” and dentition development.

We had a deep discussion about the timing of life events.

Neutering will be postponed until Kuma has finished injections.

If he starts spraying, we’ll make a decision, but until then, we just proceed.

No more vaccines, just let him fight FIP with the help of the GS

No f/up CXR until neutering, unless he begins to have respiratory distress

She said that his guts feel “normal” again.

The liquids that were being secreted in his gut before by the FIP infection made his guts “sticky” and difficult to feel.

Now she says his guts feel slippery again !!!!

She is pleased.

We are not sure what will happen to his Keppra to prevent seizures.  It could be he’ll need the med for the rest of his life, or he might be completely cured and not need it again.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

He got his body mohawk touched up, his fur is growing so fast!!!!

Now he’s naked again.

He got blood drawn for a CBC and full chem panel, results should be in tomorrow.

Praying we continue to see a downtrend in the labs!!!!  Pray for our boi!!!

Kuma was completely spent after that meeting, Isao said he slept for a good while after that.

1400 Keppra and terrorizing the house

I came home to Kuma helping poppy cook dinner.
