Day 38, Kuma’s FIP Journey

Day 38 Kuma’s FIP Journey

0600 Keppra

He had a large poo in the adult litter box, Isao removed it and disposed of it.

I’m still worried about this, need to talk with the admins…..

Kuma is fascinated by the water fountain, sits in the kitchen, and plays with it most of the day, will probably have to get one for the office.

He was not in the mood for the laser, got off the 5m infection, and 5m viral programs, then he was all teeth and growling

He’s playing and chasing the adults right now

Went shopping, came back, quiet afternoon

1430 Keppra

Kuma was sleeping up until 1600 or so.

When we woke him he started with tongue scraping which Bear was doing before he had to be put down.

Dr. Lair said it’s a reaction to pain.

I gave him his Neurontin early because we have dinner to go to and when we get back, we can give him his meds without worrying about pain.

He tongue-scraped for about 15m, with excessive grooming of his front legs.

He used to do this when you would touch his hindquarters, but that behavior had improved recently

I will call the vet first thing in the morning.  We might have to take him in for eval.

His recent physical (Monday) was excellent, totally clean bill of health.

I’m scared for what this means

Pray for our boy

I was muddling things around in my head and things from past vet visits and Dr. Lair had said that with the possible avascular necrosis in the R hip trochanter, when Kuma has growth spurts, he would have pain.

With his tenderness in his hindquarters flaring and the grooming of the front paws which is part of his pain profile, I’m PRAYING that this is what we’re dealing with.

We went to our dinner with BB and Danny and the North clan, and had a great time, was awesome to see Julie again 

Came home, and Kuma was waiting to be let out.

He isn’t tongue scraping right now, I think the Neurontin fixed that.
