Day 40!!!!! Kuma’s FIP Journey

Day 40!!!  Kuma’s FIP Journey

Day 40!!!!  Almost halfway through the med regimen!!!!

Kuma is tolerating the injections very well.

I have no plans on giving him pills unless his skin starts to give up with the meds.

Praying we make it.

I went surfing for my BIRTHDAY ;), had a great morning with my friends, and had brekkies at my fav post-surf spot, Margaritas on Newport.

We’ve been going there for well over 20 years, and the staff there are like family 

Home to relax, played D2R for a loooooong time today.  It was nice to not have to do anything

Kuma was an absolute explosion of “kitten-ness” today, running, jumping up on the couch, and generally being a nuisance LOL.

When Isao came home around 1400, he was calm and took a nap.

No more tongue scraping, he’s not demonstrated any pain reactions today.

I did find a FLEA!!!!!  Need to check when it’s time to do flea meds again.

Just looked it up, 9/26 is the next dose on the Credelio.

So we have some time….

Isao asked me what I wanted to do for my bday……I said nothing, LOL, just a simple dinner, YouTube, anime, and chill.

He’s making good pasta for me 

The best thing that could have happened today already has.

Kuma is doing well, I caught 2 bday waves, and Isao is making a great dinner 

We watched one of our favorite YT groups tonight, Living In Japan, and their trip to Brazil, was so awesome.

1900 Neurontin, 0.1mL.

More YT, good stuff.

Kuma is being trained that 2000 is dinner time, and he gets locked up in the office so the adults can eat.

2100. Capella administration.

W:  4.6lbs, weight gain!!!  Dosage increase!!

T:  101.5F

Dose:  1.4mL, dosage increase!

Position 1, L front flank, a good place

Pre-injection skin prep:  same

Tent: excellent, deep pocket for the extra volume

Needle insertion:  good, but yowling

Med administration:  smooth, but with yowling and crying

Needle withdrawal:  good, no leaks or bleeding

Post-injection skin prep:  soapy towel, fresh water rinse, pat dry.

CHURU!!!!!!

Adults get churu too!

Kuma straight to play, both for distraction and for moving the medicine around under the skin and getting it absorbed.

A good finish to a pretty good birthday, praying for a better year this upcoming time around the sun.
