Day 54 Kuma’s FIP Journey
Slept in this morning
0600 Keppra
I walked the cliffs, and didn’t relish the thought of duck diving into clumps of sea grass and large kelp boogie boarding today, so walked instead
Isao has to go to work today, so Kuma will be locked up in the office until 1 pm or so.
1400 Keppra
Kuma sleeping in his hut
He ate well today, and had a huge poop after Capella administration, in the adult box in the kitchen, and pees as well
I got home, and Isao had dinner already pretty much ready.
1900 Neurontin, 0.1mL
YT and CyberPunk viewing.
Kuma sleeping in daddy’s lap now, so rested until 2000 when we fed everyone..
2100 Capella administration
W: 5lbs!!!! My GOD, that’s a huge jump!!!
T: none
D: 1.5mL
Position 3, L rear flank, a difficult spot for us
Pre-injection skin prep: same
Tent: good, Isao gave me some good forward push to make the skin more tentable
Needle insertion: good, deep in the tent
Med administration: very painful for Kuma, he practically screamed
Needle withdrawal: smooth, no leak, a bit of blood, MUCH GROWLING!!!!!!
Isao slow-fed CHURU while I maintained the tent and cleaned up the little bleeding.
This procedure is working for us, the longer we can keep the tent up, the less leakage we see.
Post-injection skin prep: soapy towel and freshwater rinse x 4, pat dry
No evidence of leakage
Time to play!!!!
It took a bit to get him to play, he kept licking his front L paw, a pain reaction for him
The string gets him over the pain
When I let him out of the office, he began to play more vigorously, and then he went full-on NUCLEAR KUMA!!!!!
2200 Keppra.
A good day
