Day 81 Kuma’s FIP Journey

0600 Keppra

I slept in, didn’t feel well

I awoke at 0730, feeling better, and off to walk.

Kuma’s big day today , labs to see if we can go into observation !!!!

Nice walk, wind is picking up, storm coming tonight and tomorrow, and Thursday, I missed my last opportunity to surf 

Home.

Chilled out until Kuma’s appointment.

OFF TO THE VET!!

Kuma now knows what the pet taxi and car ride mean, and he hunkers down and tries to get very small, it makes me kind of sad.

We checked in, and went to the room for weigh-in, temps, and initial info gathering.

Kuma was being small and meek

Dr. Lair came in and we had a good discussion about moving into observation.

We will taper down the Keppra over 2 weeks and eventually stop, to see if his seizures come back.

We’ll know more when we see the lab results.

HOME

Kuma went into nuclear kitteh mode!!

Early lunch

I took a nap on the couch until time to go to work.

OFF TO PLAY

Kuma has taken to hiding under the big bed, so we’re deploying the 2nd baby gate to prevent him from getting in there during medication times.

Until he’s bigger and off of observation, the bedroom is off-limits now.  The other cats can jump the gate, so they will have to do that for a while during the days and evenings.

At night, the room will be open for the adults.

2130 Keppra

Rain tonight, it’s cold in the house, aleve loading dose in place, gonna be in pain for the next few days.

A good day 
