Posted on August 14, 2022August 20, 2022

Day 3

Capella 15mg/mL FIP for Kuma

Per Isao, Kuma ate around 0500.

0600. Keppra & Prednisolone given, Kuma not happy LOL

Eating well, somewhat active, I woke him from a dead sleep.

No evidence of sores yet.

Skin at both injection sites WNL.

Will bring him out for play in a bit.

Kuma played for a solid 1.75 hours!  Chasing the string, running, jumping, stalking/pouncing

He’s setting in at 0745

1330  Kuma is still wired for sound!  He’s playing, demanding to be outside the room

Keppra @1400

Kuma finally settled down over dinner hour, resting.

1950 neurontin given 1 hour prior to Capella.

Kuma is tired, worn out from his rampage all day long LOL.

Will give Capella 2100

Weight:  3.18lbs

Temp:  no temp tonight

Capella given, R mid flank

Some needle shaking a bit of blood tonight, washed quickly with diluted dawn, rinsed with fresh water.

Churu given immediately afterwards.

Lots of growling, protected Isao by having him scruff Kuma and place his other hand on Kuma’s rump to control movement.

Kuma now peeved, tail lashing.

Not sure how much the Neurontin helps.

Off to bed shortly.

Very good food intake, good urine output.

Steroids driving this.

Day 3 in the books 😊
