Day 9:  Capella. Kuma’s FIP Journey

0600 Keppra given

0630 0.3mL Prednisolone given

Kuma is running around like a fool!

Skin surveillance:   No sign of sores yet.

Output:  big pee spots in boxes, no poop as of yet.

Intake:  not the best, maybe 1 oz

Brewed beer most of day/afternoon.

Kuma was asleep in the office on my lunchbox.

He has had 1 big stool and numerous pees.

His energy is good, but the intake, is not so good, he is quite picky about his food, and wants it fresh and strong smelling.

I put down fresh food for him and he started eating.

2000 Neurontin

2100 Capella injection

Weight:  3.52lbs

Temp 101.8F

Location:  R rear flank

Pre-injection prep:  same

Tent, deep.

Injection:  ?hit muscle a bit?  Much yowling and growling.  No air or blood on aspiration, will monitor the site closely.

Post-Injection care:  same

CHURU!!!!!

These R/L rear flank injections are quite painful for Kuma, he yowls and cries and growls.

Then he goes off and plays.

2200  Keppra

Skin surveillance:  no evidence of sores yet.

A quiet day.
